Peugeot 307 2.0 HDI 136 Stage 1 Remap (180 BHP | 380 Nm)

From 2005-2008 the Peugeot 307 was equipped with the 2.0 16v DW10BTED4 engine, originally producing 136BHP. This engine is paired with the Siemens SID803 engine control unit, a perfect match for ECU remapping as it can easily be programmed over the OBD port using the correct equipment.

The HDI Tuning Stage 1 remap for the Peugeot 307 2.0 HDI ensures robust power delivery across the full rev range. A Stage 1 remap boosts torque significantly and enhances throttle response. The torque curve is carefully calibrated to be both progressive and steady, safeguarding your clutch and dual mass flywheel.

With this stage 1 remap, the torque reaches a peak of 380Nm, and power is ramped up to 180 BHP. The Peugeot 307 2.0 HDI 136 EU4 typically features a DPF system. Using a HDI Tuning DPF Safe remap, you’ll avoid any increased risk of particle filter blockages, as the ECU maintains precise AFR control. It’s recommended to keep the DPF filter in your vehicle for compliance with road standards.

Beyond the more thrilling drive, Stage 1 Remap users frequently report improvements in fuel efficiency during everyday driving.

Peugeot 307 2.0 HDI 136 Stage 2 Remap (195 BHP | 390 Nm)

The Peugeot 307 2.0 HDI 136 Stage 2 remap requires an uprated intercooler, complete free flowing exhaust system and a 3.1 Bar MAP sensor so that the ECU is able to run increased turbo pressure (part number 9649396580). Peak power comes out at 195 BHP with a torque figure of 380 to 400Nm – we can tailor this to your clutch.

We recommend fitting the black diamond Kevlartek Stage 2 clutch for this level of tune, available in our webshop. On some vehicles you might need to replace the DMF with a new part, or swap it for a solid flywheel. The torque figure is fairly reasonable so it should not cause DMF problems, a worn DMF should be replaced or converted to a solid flywheel.

Stage 3(210 BHP | 420 Nm)

The stage 3 remap requires all of the stage 2 modifications and also a hybrid turbo.

The turbo charger should use an upgraded 52mm compressor wheel. This will allow the turbo to flow more air whilst remaining suitably matched to the original turbine wheel and can also be controlled by the ECU software more easily than a complete upgraded turbo. By using a 52mm compressor there will not be significant turbo lag.

The fuel pump is the limit on this remap, it will struggle to flow more than 210 BHP of fuel. An additional in tank lift pump to feed the high pressure pump can be helpful, it’s also essential the fuel pump is in excellent condition, if it’s worn it will need to be refurbished.

For this level of torque, it’s best to use a Ceramic paddle clutch with a solid flywheel.

Which vehicles are covered?

The power figures quoted on this page are applicable to the following vehicle models if fitted with the Siemens Continental SID803 and SID803A ECU, usually a 136, 138 or 140 BHP variant:

Peugeot 307 2.0 HDI 136 BHP
Peugeot 308 2.0 HDI 138 BHP
Peugeot 508 2.0 HDI 140 BHP
Peugeot 807 2.0 HDI 136 BHP
Citroen C4 2.0 HDI 138 BHP
Citroen C5 2.0 HDI 138 BHP
Citroen C8 2.0 HDI 136 BHP

If your vehicle is not listed directly but you have the Siemens Continental SID803 or SID803A ECU fitted you can assume these figures can also be achieved on your vehicle.

Programming Methods – OBD programming or Bench Programming

There are two variants of the SID803 ECU. The SID803 ECU cannot be programmed over OBD by many budget tools, however Dimsport MyGenius is able to do this over OBD. On some volvo models with SID803 you will need the double CAN cable to go with the tool. The SID803A ECU can however programmed over OBD by most tools including MyGenius.

Recommended programming method:

Program over OBD using the Dimsport MyGenius standalone tool

The Dimsport MyGenius tool is the safest, easiest and most reliable way to program your ECU from home. Simply connect to the OBD port and let the tool do the work, no need to remove your ECU or bench program for most ECU types. For more information have a read here

Programming via OBD SID803A

  • Obtain a suitable programming tool; we recommend to use Dimsport MyGenius, you can also use Kess V2.
  • Install the tool to a reliable laptop.
  • Connect to the OBD port of your car, make sure you have backup chargers to the vehicle battery and the laptop battery.
  • ID the ECU and then take a read of the ECUs flash memory.
  • Email the software to remap@hdi-tuning.co.uk along with a description of the remap you require.
  • Send payment through our webshop.
  • We will modify the software and send back to you. This normally takes less than 2 to 3 hours during work days.
  • Using the same tool, ID then write to the ECU. This will overwrite the ECUs flash memory, it’s important not to interrupt the process. If you encounter any problems we can fix the ECU for you so there’s absolutely nothing to worry about.
  • Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!

Programming via BDM100 SID803 & SID803A

Both the SID803 and SID803A can be programmed direct to the ECU board through the BDM port. Obtain a suitable programming tool, we recommend Kess KTAG.

  • Order a suitable tool such as Kess KTAG or BDM100.
  • Install the tool to a reliable laptop.
  • The ECU must be removed from the vehicle, and then the tabs on the lid can be carefully pried open and the casing of the ECU removed.
  • Using a pogo spring probe connect to the ECU board, power the ECU to the ECU connector plugs as described by your programming tool.
  • ID the ECU and then take a read of the ECUs memories for a backup. For SID803 the performance maps are in the MPC/processor. For SID803A the performance maps are stored in the external flash memory.
This will overwrite the ECUs memory, it’s important not to interrupt the process. If you encounter any problems we can fix the ECU for you so there’s absolutely nothing to worry about (You can always repair an ECU if you take a full BDM backup of all memories).
  • Straighten the tabs on the ECU and then seal with a little silicone. Crimp the tabs down with a pair of wide pliers.
  • Refit the ECU and start the engine.
  • Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!
