BMW F10 F11 5 Series 520D 187 BHP EDC1750 2014-onwards: Superior Stage 1 Remap

The BMW F10 F11 5 Series 520D from 2014-onwards comes equipped with the Bosch EDC1750 ECU, ideal for our superior Stage 1 remap.

This remap transforms your vehicle from 187 BHP to a commanding 230 BHP, and enhances torque from a standard 400Nm to a powerful 500Nm. Our remap is expertly designed for a smooth yet significant increase in power, perfectly complementing both manual and automatic transmissions, thus enhancing your driving experience.

Programming Methods – OBD2 or KTAG

Programming via OBD EDC17

  • Obtain a suitable programming tool; we recommend to use Dimsport MyGenius.
  • Connect to the OBD port of your car, make sure you have battery support to the vehicle battery.
  • ID the ECU and then take a read of the ECUs flash memory.
  • Email the software to remap@hdi-tuning.co.uk along with a description of the remap you require.
  • Send payment through our webshop.
  • We will modify the software and send back to you. This normally takes less than 2 to 3 hours during working days.
  • Using the same tool you can then write to the ECU. This will overwrite the ECUs flash memory, it’s important not to interrupt the process.
  • Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!

Bench Programming via KTAG EDC17

  • Order a suitable tool such as KTAG
  • Install the tool to a reliable laptop.
  • The ECU must be removed from the vehicle, and then the ECU needs to be opened, don’t attempt this unless you know what you are doing otherwise you can damage the ECU.
  • Connect boot pin to processor and CAN hi Lo / +12v / GND to pins on ECU
  • ID the ECU and then take a read of the ECUs memories for a backup (please save separately, and not as a combined file).
  • Email the software to remap@hdi-tuning.co.uk along with a description of the remap you require.
  • Send payment through our webshop.
  • We will modify the software and send back to you. This normally takes less than 2 to 3 hours during work days.
  • Using the same tool, ID then write to the ECU. This will overwrite the ECUs memory, it’s important not to interrupt the process. If you encounter any problems we can fix the ECU for you so there’s absolutely nothing to worry about (You can always repair an ECU if you take a full backup of all memories).
  • Straighten the lid on the ECU and seal with a little silicone.
  • Refit the ECU and start the engine.
  • Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!
