The Citroen Berlingo 1.5 BlueHDI 100 comes fitted with the latest Bosch MD1CS003 engine control system. It’s an advanced ECU which does require a skilled tuner to adjust the torque model correctly, and this ECU will also need to be bench programmed. Most tuning devices can do this over bench service mode which does not require the ECU to be opened.
The 1.5 Blue HDI also comes with exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR/AdBlue) and a DPF system. When remapping with a HDI Tuning remap, you can comfortably keep all of these systems active. Our Stage 1 remap is crafted to run clean and smoke-free so there’s no heightened risk of the particle filter becoming clogged.

130 BHP |
We’ve been working meticulously to deliver the most advanced remap available for the Citroen Berlingo 1.5 DV5RD BlueHDI Engine. Our Stage 1 remap will safely elevate your peak power to 130 BHP and peak torque is an impressive 300Nm with a fluid and consistent torque curve.
We’ve modelled the torque curve for this remap around the 130 BHP variant factory settings, so you will experience exceptional drivability and reliability from your Citroen Berlingo 1.5 BlueHDI 100.
When driving your Citroen Berlingo 1.5 BlueHDI you’ll sense an enhancement in throttle response, more low-end torque, and a torque curve that continues to propel into the higher engine RPMs offering remarkable top-end power. All of this will make your Citroen Berlingo more enjoyable to drive and we’re confident it will put a smile on your face!
Programming Methods – bench programming
The Bosch MD1 ECU can be programmed using Bitbox and a Scanmatik 2 device.
Programming via Bench service mode over CAN with Bitbox
This is our preferred way to program. The ECU must be removed, but there is no need to open the ECU and risk damage. A full backup can be made of both the EEPROM and the internal flash memories.
- Order a Scanmatik 2 Pro J2534 programming device and a Bitbox dongle with the MD1 license.
- Remove ECU from the vehicle.
- Connect specified wires to ECU plug connector.
- ID the ECU.
- Read the ECU memories.
- Email software to HDI Tuning.
- Wait for us to prepare your remap and return it back to you.
- Program the remap to the ECU using the same method taken to read the ECU.
- Refit the ECU, check engine starts.
- Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!
