Stage 1 Torque

The Citroen C3 1.5 BlueHDI 100 is great fun to drive, yet you can get even more power out of it very safely with just a simple stage 1 remap. The 1.5 BlueHDI is equipped with the Bosch MD1 control system. A knowledgeable tuner is essential to calibrate the torque model correctly due to multiple layers of ‘tuning protection’. Most genuine tuning tools can program this ECU over bench service mode without needing to dismantle the ECU, although the ECU does need to be removed for this procedure. You can also program the ECU yourself and use our online remap service if you have a suitable programming tool.

Embedded in the 1.5 Blue HDI are critical systems: the EGR, SCR/AdBlue, and DPF. Employing a HDI Tuning remap ensures their consistent performance. The Stage 1 remap we deliver prioritizes efficient and clean combustion, so there’s no increased risk of DPF blockage when running the HDI Tuning DPF safe remap.

Citroen C3 1.5 BlueHDI 100 Stage 1 Remap (130 BHP | 300 Nm)

Our engineering efforts have led to a premier remap for the Citroen C3 1.5 BlueHDI Engine. Through the Stage 1 procedure, the power threshold is safely set at 130 BHP, while torque peaks at an impressive 300Nm.
The torque configuration in this remap has been modelled around the factory settings of the 130 BHP model, ensuring your Citroen C3 1.5 BlueHDI 100 delivers both in performance and longevity.

Driving a remapped Citroen C3 1.5 BlueHDI will reveal an improved throttle response, superior torque in the early rev range, and continual power in to the upper rev range. This recalibration is sure to enhance your driving dynamics and put a smile on your face.

Programming Methods – bench programming

The Bosch MD1 ECU can be programmed using Bitbox and a Scanmatik 2 device.

Programming via Bench service mode over CAN with Bitbox

This is our preferred way to program. The ECU must be removed, but there is no need to open the ECU and risk damage. A full backup can be made of both the EEPROM and the internal flash memories.

  • Order a Scanmatik 2 Pro J2534 programming device and a Bitbox dongle with the MD1 license.
  • Remove ECU from the vehicle.
  • Connect specified wires to ECU plug connector.
  • ID the ECU.
  • Read the ECU memories.
  • Email software to HDI Tuning.
  • Wait for us to prepare your remap and return it back to you.
  • Program the remap to the ECU using the same method taken to read the ECU.
  • Refit the ECU, check engine starts.
  • Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!
