The Citroen C-Cactus 1.5 BlueHDI 100 comes fitted with the Bosch MD1 control system. An advanced ECU like this requires the expertise of a proficient tuner to adjust the torque model correctly. For programming, this ECU is designed to be bench programmed. If you opt to use most tuning tools, there’s no need to open the ECU. Whether you bring your car into our premises or ship the ECU to us, we’ve got it handled. For those with the right programming equipment, our online service is an alternative.

Citroen C-Cactus 1.5 BlueHDI 100 Stage 1 Remap (130 BHP | 300 Nm)

The 1.5 BlueHDI Engine has been the main focus of our intensive R&D work for some time and as a result we’ve developed a very advanced remap. The Stage 1 remap pushes your engine to a peak power of 130 BHP whilst delivering a strong peak torque figure of 300Nm.

The torque curve in this remap mirrors the original design of the more powerful 130 BHP model, assuring both performance and reliability for your Citroen C-Cactus 1.5 BlueHDI 100. It also incorporates the MHI TD02L11 wastegate-regulated turbo, a testament to its early activation capabilities and resilience. This turbo has been reliably used in the 1.6 eHDI and 1.6 BlueHDI models, with subtle refinements for the 1.5 HDI Engine. We ensure a slight increment in turbo pressure, but always within the safety margins.

Once you’re behind the wheel of your remapped Citroen C-Cactus, you’ll notice sharper throttle response, amplified torque at the lower and mid range and continuing power in the high-rev spectrum. We’re sure you’ll love the way it drives.

Programming Methods – bench programming

The Bosch MD1 ECU can be programmed using Bitbox and a Scanmatik 2 device.

Programming via Bench service mode over CAN with Bitbox

This is our preferred way to program. The ECU must be removed, but there is no need to open the ECU and risk damage. A full backup can be made of both the EEPROM and the internal flash memories.

  • Order a Scanmatik 2 Pro J2534 programming device and a Bitbox dongle with the MD1 license.
  • Remove ECU from the vehicle.
  • Connect specified wires to ECU plug connector.
  • ID the ECU.
  • Read the ECU memories.
  • Email software to HDI Tuning.
  • Wait for us to prepare your remap and return it back to you.
  • Program the remap to the ECU using the same method taken to read the ECU.
  • Refit the ECU, check engine starts.
  • Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!
