Stage 1 Torque

The 1.5 BlueHDI 100 engine is controlled by the Bosch MD1 engine management system. Tweaking this sophisticated ECU requires a knowledgeable tuner to adjust the torque model effectively. Bench programming is essential, but fortunately, the ECU doesn’t need to be opened due to most tuning devices supporting bench service mode. If you bring the vehicle to our workshop or send us the ECU, we’ll handle the technical details. Also, if you possess the right programming tool, our online service can assist you.

Equipped with features like EGR, SCR/AdBlue, and DPF, the 1.5 Blue HDI ensures these systems remain operational when you opt for an HDI Tuning remap. Our Stage 1 remap is designed for efficient functioning, thereby reducing the likelihood of the particle filter clogging.

1.5 BlueHDI 100 Stage 1 Remap (130 BHP | 300 Nm)

We’ve consistently strived to perfect the remap for the 1.5 DV5RD BlueHDI Engine. The Stage 1 remap offers a powerful surge up to 130 BHP, with torque topping at an exhilarating 300Nm, ensuring a steady torque progression. This remap aligns with the 130 BHP factory configurations, guaranteeing peak performance and reliability for your 1.5 BlueHDI 100.
The engine also incorporates the MHI TD02L11 wastegate-regulated turbocharger, known for its rapid spooling. This turbo has undergone rigorous testing with the 1.6 eHDI and 1.6 BlueHDI models, undergoing subtle modifications for the 1.5 HDI Engine. We provide a slight turbo pressure increase, staying within the safe boundaries of the TD02 turbo.

Once you hit the road in your 1.5 BlueHDI, you’ll perceive the enhanced throttle reaction, augmented low-end torque, and sustained torque uplift at higher RPMs. This transformation turns your vehicle into a driving delight, and we’re sure you’ll appreciate the improved performance.

Programming Methods – bench programming

The Bosch MD1 ECU can be programmed using Bitbox and a Scanmatik 2 device.

Programming via Bench service mode over CAN with Bitbox

This is our preferred way to program. The ECU must be removed, but there is no need to open the ECU and risk damage. A full backup can be made of both the EEPROM and the internal flash memories.

  • Order a Scanmatik 2 Pro J2534 programming device and a Bitbox dongle with the MD1 license.
  • Remove ECU from the vehicle.
  • Connect specified wires to ECU plug connector.
  • ID the ECU.
  • Read the ECU memories.
  • Email software to HDI Tuning.
  • Wait for us to prepare your remap and return it back to you.
  • Program the remap to the ECU using the same method taken to read the ECU.
  • Refit the ECU, check engine starts.
  • Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!
