Stage 1 Torque

The Citroen DS3 1.5 BlueHDI 100 is equipped with the Bosch MD1 ECU. It’s a modern ECU and needs an advanced tuner to adjust the torque model correctly. This ECU has to be bench programmed. Most of the leading tuning tools can manage that without opening the ECU. If you bring the car in to us or send over the ECU, we’ve got it covered using the most up to date tools. And remember, our online service is always available if you’ve got a suitable programming tool.

The 1.5 Blue HDI comes with features like the EGR, SCR/AdBlue and a DPF. With the HDI Tuning remap, these systems will continue to work fine. Our Stage 1 remap is clean-running, so the DPF shouldn’t have an increased risk of blocking verses the stock mapping. It’s always important to undertake regular long journeys on any modern diesel car so that the conditions required for a regen can be met.

Citroen DS3 1.5 BlueHDI 100 Stage 1 Remap (130 BHP | 300 Nm)

We’ve spent time developing a top-notch remap for the Citroen DS3 1.5 BlueHDI Engine. With the Stage 1 remap, you get 130 BHP and 300Nm torque, with a solid torque delivery.
This remap closely resembles the 130 BHP version’s standard settings, ensuring that your Citroen DS3 1.5 BlueHDI 100 is great to drive.

Your Citroen DS3 1.5 BlueHDI 100 has the MHI TD02L11 wastegate-regulated turbo, which is great for early spooling and is durable. It’s been tested with the 1.6 eHDI and 1.6 BlueHDI engines and got a few updates for the 1.5 HDI Engine. We increase the turbo pressure a bit, but always within safe levels.

Once you drive your Citroen DS3 1.5 BlueHDI after our remap, you’ll find better throttle response, more torque early on, and good power as you rev through the range. We think you’ll find your DS3 great fun to drive after a remap.

Programming Methods – bench programming

The Bosch MD1 ECU can be programmed using Bitbox and a Scanmatik 2 device.

Programming via Bench service mode over CAN with Bitbox

This is our preferred way to program. The ECU must be removed, but there is no need to open the ECU and risk damage. A full backup can be made of both the EEPROM and the internal flash memories.

  • Order a Scanmatik 2 Pro J2534 programming device and a Bitbox dongle with the MD1 license.
  • Remove ECU from the vehicle.
  • Connect specified wires to ECU plug connector.
  • ID the ECU.
  • Read the ECU memories.
  • Email software to HDI Tuning.
  • Wait for us to prepare your remap and return it back to you.
  • Program the remap to the ECU using the same method taken to read the ECU.
  • Refit the ECU, check engine starts.
  • Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!
