Peugeot 207 1.4 HDI Stage 1 Remap (90 BHP
| 204 Nm
)
We have a very nice remap available for the 1.4 HDI 68 BHP engine fitted with the Bosch EDC16C34 ECU and the KP35 turbo charger.
Our stage 1 remap will make your Peugeot 207 1.4 HDI much more exciting to drive whilst remaining well within the safe limits of your clutch and turbo charger.
With a remap you’ll be surprised just how much better the 1.4 engine performs, so there’s no need change the car to upgrade to a more powerful engine, plus you’ll still get excellent fuel economy from the 1.4 HDI even when remapped.
You can program the ECU yourself using our online remapping service. For this we recommend to use the Kess V2 tool. With this tool you can you program directly over the OBD port.
If you prefer to send the ECU to us for the programming work, you can use our postal remap service.
Price:
- Program yourself with the MyGenius OBD tool, includes a Stage 1 Remap for just £290!
- Already have a programming tool? Use our Online remap service for just £150
- Send us your ECU – Use our Postal Remap Service £200
Peugeot 207 1.4 HDI Stage 2 Remap (100 BHP
| 220 Nm
)
On the Peugeot 207 1.4 HDI 68 BHP Bosch EDC16C34 variant there is no factory fitted intercooler. The first step to going stage 2 is to install an intercooler and a boost gauge. Next you can increase boost to around 20 psi / 1.35 bar. Boost can be adjusted by altering the length of the actuator rod to the waste gate. Exhaust upgrades are also recommended. Please be warned, the KP35 turbo is very small and it’s not that resilient so you should not set too much boost pressure. It’s better to upgrade to the TD02 turbo this is much stronger.
Peugeot 207 1.4 HDI Stage 3 Remap (110 to 120 BHP
| 230 to 250 Nm
)
For the HDI tuning stage 3 upgrade we need to fit the TD02 turbo charger from the 1.6 90 BHP model (from 2010 models onwards). This is not such a straight forward upgrade but it’s worth the extra work, it also bolts on to the manifold, although if you use the entire manifold from the 1.6 this will flow better and matches the exhaust ports of the 1.4/1.6 engine exactly.
You will need to swap the actuator for a pressure actuator, this can be controlled by drilling/tapping a pressure feed into the side of the compressor just like the stock turbo.
Next you must fit a front mounted intercooler, a boost gauge, full exhaust system and a ceramic paddle clutch to handle all that extra torque.
(Another good option is to use a GTD1244VZ turbo from the 1.6 BlueHDI 120, the VNT can be regulated using an external controller called Digibooster-S. This turbo will deliver much better low down boost and also some more top end boost.) Price:
- Program your Stage 2 remap with the MyGenius OBD tool, includes the Remap for just £350!
- Use our Online remap service if you already have a programming device for just £200
- Send us your ECU – Use our Postal Remap Service £250
Air Doser Delete
The butterfly/throttle valve in the intake can sometimes go wrong or leak. You can either disconnect it, or make a custom air doser delete pipe (this must have a mount for the boost sensor and the temperature sensor). We can then delete this part through a software remap.
Price:
- £50 for only ADD delete (online remap only), included with any remap if requested.
Programming Methods – OBD programming or Bench Programming
There are two variants of the SID201 ECU. The Siemens SID201 ECU cannot be programmed over OBD by many budget tools and as such the ECU will need to be removed and bench programmed. This should be possible with Kess V2 on the latest version, but check compatibility when ordering the tool.
Programming via OBD EDC16C34
- Obtain a suitable programming tool; we recommend to use Dimsport MyGenius, you can also use Kess V2.
- Install the tool to a reliable laptop.
- Connect to the OBD port of your car, make sure you have backup chargers to the vehicle battery and the laptop battery.
- ID the ECU and then take a read of the ECUs flash memory.
- Email the software to remap@hdi-tuning.co.uk along with a description of the remap you require.
- Send payment through our webshop.
- We will modify the software and send back to you. This normally takes less than 2 to 3 hours during working days.
- Using the same tool, ID then write to the ECU. This will overwrite the ECUs flash memory, it’s important not to interrupt the process. If you encounter any problems we can fix the ECU for you so there’s absolutely nothing to worry about.
- Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!
Programming via BDM100 EDC16C3 & EDC16C34
Both the EDC16C3 and EDC16C34 can be programmed direct to the ECU board through the BDM port. Obtain a suitable programming tool, we recommend Kess KTAG for bench programmingю
- Order a suitable tool such as Kess KTAG or BDM100.
- Install the tool to a reliable laptop.
- The ECU must be removed from the vehicle, and then the tabs on the lid can be carefully pried open and the casing of the ECU removed.
- Using a pogo spring probe connect to the ECU board, power the ECU to the ECU connector plugs as described by your programming tool.
- ID the ECU and then take a read of the ECUs memories for a backup (please save separately, and not as a combined file). For EDC16C3 the performance maps are in the 1MB flash. For EDC16C34 the performance maps are stored in the 2MB flash memory.
- Email the software to remap@hdi-tuning.co.uk along with a description of the remap you require.
- Send payment through our webshop.
- We will modify the software and send back to you. This normally takes less than 2 to 3 hours during work days.
- Using the same tool, ID then write to the ECU. This will overwrite the ECUs memory, it’s important not to interrupt the process. If you encounter any problems we can fix the ECU for you so there’s absolutely nothing to worry about (You can always repair an ECU if you take a full BDM backup of all memories).
- Straighten the lid on the ECU and seal with a little silicone.
- Refit the ECU and start the engine.
- Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!
