The GTD1244VZ comes fitted to the 1.6 BlueHDI 120 BHP variants and also the 1.5 TDCI 120 BHP engine.
The GTD12 is a great choice of turbo when upgrading your 1.6 16v, 1.6 8v, or even if you want to convert your 1.6 BlueHDI 75 or 100 model to the 120 VNT setup.
We offer two levels of GTD1244VZ turbo:
1 – Standard GTD1244VZ refurbished and upgraded from an original Garrett GTD1244VZ turbo. This turbo will come with an uprated 360 degree thrust bearing which adds both strength and reliability. On top of this you get a 2 year Warranty from the date of Purchase against manufacturing defects.
2 – The Hybrid GTD12 comes with a 49mm compressor wheel. This offers excellent spool characteristics whilst delivering enough air for 185 BHP plus at the top end. The turbo comes with the upgraded 360 degree thrust bearing which means we can run higher boost whilst not compromising on reliability. Our 2 year warranty will cover any build defects. So far we’ve never needed to do a warranty claim on one of these, they are really strong turbos.
The get maximum performance from your 1.6 HDI or TDCI engine, the turbo will require a specialist remap which will be custom written from HDI Tuning Ltd. We were the first company to use this turbo as an upgrade on both the 16V and 8V engines and as such we can offer the best remapped software (we have custom made VNT calibration maps that you can only get when using our remap, other companies will not understand this essential step when writing your remapped software).
