BMW F30 3 Series 320D 187 BHP EDC1750 2015 onwards: Advanced Stage 1 Remap

The BMW F30 3 Series 320D, available from 2015, is equipped with the Bosch EDC1750 ECU, perfectly suited for our advanced Stage 1 remap.

This remap takes your car from a standard 187 BHP to a powerful 230 BHP, and enhances torque from 400Nm to a remarkable 500Nm. Our remapping technique ensures a smooth and effective increase in power, optimizing the performance of both manual and automatic transmissions, and enhancing the driving experience.

Programming the Bosch EDC1750 ECU is straightforward with the MyGenius tool. This device enables direct programming via the OBD port and offers various remap options to cater to diverse driving preferences.

Programming Methods – OBD2 or KTAG

Programming via OBD EDC17

  • Obtain a suitable programming tool; we recommend to use Dimsport MyGenius.
  • Connect to the OBD port of your car, make sure you have battery support to the vehicle battery.
  • ID the ECU and then take a read of the ECUs flash memory.
  • Email the software to remap@hdi-tuning.co.uk along with a description of the remap you require.
  • Send payment through our webshop.
  • We will modify the software and send back to you. This normally takes less than 2 to 3 hours during working days.
  • Using the same tool you can then write to the ECU. This will overwrite the ECUs flash memory, it’s important not to interrupt the process.
  • Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!

Bench Programming via KTAG EDC17

  • Order a suitable tool such as KTAG
  • Install the tool to a reliable laptop.
  • The ECU must be removed from the vehicle, and then the ECU needs to be opened, don’t attempt this unless you know what you are doing otherwise you can damage the ECU.
  • Connect boot pin to processor and CAN hi Lo / +12v / GND to pins on ECU
  • ID the ECU and then take a read of the ECUs memories for a backup (please save separately, and not as a combined file).
  • Email the software to remap@hdi-tuning.co.uk along with a description of the remap you require.
  • Send payment through our webshop.
  • We will modify the software and send back to you. This normally takes less than 2 to 3 hours during work days.
  • Using the same tool, ID then write to the ECU. This will overwrite the ECUs memory, it’s important not to interrupt the process. If you encounter any problems we can fix the ECU for you so there’s absolutely nothing to worry about (You can always repair an ECU if you take a full backup of all memories).
  • Straighten the lid on the ECU and seal with a little silicone.
  • Refit the ECU and start the engine.
  • Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!
