2.7 HDI V6 204 BHP DPF 2006 – 2010 Siemens SID201

240 BHP

Stage 1 Power

500 Nm

Stage 1 Torque

Stage 1 DPF Safe(240 BHP | 500 Nm)

Our Stage 1 remap gives 240BHP and a torque increase to 500Nm. We’ve developed this remap not only to give optimal performance, but also to remain within the limits of the stock hardware of your vehicle so you don’t need to worry about your clutch or your dual mass flywheel. Power delivery will be smooth and constant through the entire rpm range and will make overtaking much easier.

We’ve also developed this remap to run clean and smoke free by maintaining higher AFR like the factory setup, as such there’s no increased risk of the particle filter clogging when running our Stage 1 remap. DPF Delete is optional extra on this remap.

Most customers also see an economy gain during normal driving conditions.

Price:

Stage 1+ DPF Delete(244 BHP | 510 Nm)

The Stage 1+ remap gives that little bit extra power and does away with the DPF system. This is only necessary on vehicles where the system has a problem, otherwise it’s best to leave it alone.

Peak power will come out to 245 BHP and your maximum torque figure will be 510Nm. We also recommend EGR delete with this remap to add reliability and to keep the engine nice and clean.

Programming Methods – OBD programming or Bench Programming

There are two variants of the SID201 ECU. The Siemens SID201 ECU cannot be programmed over OBD by many budget tools and as such the ECU will need to be removed and bench programmed. This should be possible with Kess V2 on the latest version, but check compatibility when ordering the tool.

Programming via OBDSID201

  • Obtain a suitable programming tool; we recommend to use Dimsport MyGenius, you can also use Kess V2.
  • Install the tool to a reliable laptop.
  • Connect to the OBD port of your car, make sure you have backup chargers to the vehicle battery and the laptop battery.
  • ID the ECU and then take a read of the ECUs flash memory.
  • Email the software to remap@hdi-tuning.co.uk along with a description of the remap you require.
  • Send payment through our webshop.
  • We will modify the software and send back to you. This normally takes less than 2 to 3 hours during work days.
  • Using the same tool, ID then write to the ECU. This will overwrite the ECUs flash memory, it’s important not to interrupt the process. If you encounter any problems we can fix the ECU for you so there’s absolutely nothing to worry about.
  • Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!

Programming via BDM SID201

The SID201 can be programmed direct to the ECU board through the BDM port. Obtain a suitable programming tool, we recommend Kess KTAG.

  • Order a suitable tool such as Kess KTAG or BDM100.
  • Install the tool to a reliable laptop.
  • The ECU must be removed from the vehicle, and then the tabs on the lid can be carefully pried open and the casing of the ECU removed.
  • Using a pogo spring probe connect to the ECU board, power the ECU to the ECU connector plugs as described by your programming tool.
  • ID the ECU and then take a read of the ECUs memories for a backup. Maps will likely be stored in the internal flash of the Processor, some later models have an external flash of 2MB.
This will overwrite the ECUs memory, it’s important not to interrupt the process. If you encounter any problems we can fix the ECU for you so there’s absolutely nothing to worry about (You can always repair an ECU if you take a full BDM backup of all memories).
  • Straighten the tabs on the ECU and then seal with a little silicone. Crimp the tabs down with a pair of wide pliers.
  • Refit the ECU and start the engine.
  • Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!
