Peugeot 406 2.2 HDI 136 Stage 1 DPF Safe Remap (165 BHP | 350 Nm)

The DPF safe remap for the Peugeot 406 2.2 HDI 136 was specially designed by HDI Tuning and tested over many years to ensure maximum power from a stage 1 remap whilst minimising the risk of DPF blockage. To do this we keep AFR high and clean this reduces soot particles and thus soot accumulation in the DPF. The Stage 1 DPF safe remap still gives great gains with 165 BHP and 350Nm. We recommend this remap for vehicles that are well maintained and cover plenty of long journeys to keep the DPF clean.

Peugeot 406 2.2 HDI 136 Stage 1 full power Remap (170 BHP | 370 Nm)

This remap is designed to go straight on to the standard Peugeot 406 2.2 HDI 136 engine with only a sports exhaust fitted. Peak power will be 170 BHP and maximum torque will be 370Nm. The stage 1 remap offers great performance, driveability and safer overtaking.

The stage 1 remap was designed to run clean with minimal particle matter, this does require a healthy and well maintained engine of course. After the remap your Peugeot 406 2.2 HDI 136 will be a completely different car to drive.

Our remap delivers optimal power by matching the air delivered by the turbo to the correct quantity of diesel throughout the rev range of the engine. The result of this is great progressive power that keeps on pulling until 4500 rpm and a bit more too. As well as a great power boost you can expect to see economy gains of 3-5 MPG on average.


Peugeot 406 2.2 HDI Stage 2 Remap (180 BHP | 390 Nm)

This remap is designed to get the most out of your Peugeot 406 2.2 HDI 136 engine.

The Stage 2 remap requires you to fit a larger intercooler, the factory fitted unit is quite small for these engines. You don’t need to alter boost pressure, we will do that through the ECU software. For optimal results, fit a complete free flowing exhaust system (2.5″ bore) with a straight through style muffler. This remap is designed to suit engines with lower miles which are maintained well.

We can also add an uprated MAP sensor as the stock sensor can only go to 1.5 bar, this will allow a tiny bit more boost to be added in without hitting the limit of the sensor. Price:

1800 Bar fuel pressure sensor upgrade Part 1920GW

For vehicles running the upgraded R70 fuel pump wishing to push for a little extra top end power we can increase fuel pressure slightly. The stock sensor can only go to 1500 Bar so an upgraded sensor is required with part number 1920GW. Pins 1&2 must be swapped in the wiring loom in order to start the engine and a new calibration must be added via a remap. Injector calibrations in the stock ECU software run only until 1400 Bar, we will extend using our custom calibrations to 1800 bar. We recommend to run a max of 1600 Bar even with the uprated sensor, otherwise the extra work load on the fuel pump is too much. Price:

Programming Methods – OBD2

The EDC15C2 is an old ECU type and as such it’s covered by nearly all tools on the market. The best and most reliable tools to use are Kess V2 and MPPS. These tools can program directly over OBD without needing to remove the ECU. If you’re looking for an on the go flasher which can store up to 10 maps and be used when ever you choose, then we recommend using Dimsport MyGenius.

How to use the online remapping service:

  • Obtain a suitable programming tool.
  • Install the tool to a reliable laptop.
  • Connect to the OBD port of your car, make sure you have backup chargers to the vehicle battery and the laptop battery.
  • ID the ECU and then take a read of the ECUs flash memory.
  • Email the software to along with a description of the remap you require.
  • Send payment through our webshop.
  • We will modify the software and send back to you. This normally takes less than 2 to 3 hours during work days.
  • Using the same tool, ID then write to the ECU. This will overwrite the ECUs flash memory, it’s important not to interrupt the process. If you encounter any problems we can fix the ECU for you so there’s absolutely nothing to worry about.
