The Vauxhall combo E 1.5 BlueHDI 75 Engine comes fitted with a very advanced Bosch MD1CS003 tuning protected ECU. There are many levels of tuning protection in this ECU but our advanced programming equipment and bespoke tuning software can overcome all of this safely, best of all we can program this ECU without needing to open or dismantle the ECU. We are currently using Bitbox and DimSport Trasdata to bench read this ECU which is a great bit of kit, our agents also use Auto Tuner, or Flex to program the Bosch MD1CS003 ECU.

Vauxhall combo E 1.5 BlueHDI 75 Stage 1 Remap (130 BHP | 300 Nm)

We’ve been working hard to bring to you the latest and most advanced remap available for the Vauxhall combo E 75 BHP 1.5 DV5RE BlueHDI Engine. As all components of the 75 BHP variant are identical to the 100 BHP variant we see large gains form a Stage 1 Remap.

Our Stage 1 remap will safely take your peak horse power to 130 BHP and peak torque is an exciting 300Nm with a smooth and consistent torque curve. We actually model this remap around the 130 BHP variant factory settings, so you will get great drivability and reliability.

The Vauxhall combo E 1.5 BlueHDI engine comes fitted with an MHI TD02L11 wastegate regulated turbo charger which delivers great early spool up characteristics and boasts great longevity. This turbo has been proven on the 1.6 eHDI and 1.6 BlueHDI variants over many years with a few small modernisations when applied to the 1.5 HDI Engine. We give a small increase in turbo pressure which stays within the safe tried and tested range of the TD02 turbo.

Programming Methods – bench programming

The Bosch MD1 ECU can be programmed using Bitbox and a Scanmatik 2 device.

Programming via Bench service mode over CAN with Bitbox

This is our preferred way to program. The ECU must be removed, but there is no need to open the ECU and risk damage. A full backup can be made of both the EEPROM and the internal flash memories.

  • Order a Scanmatik 2 Pro J2534 programming device and a Bitbox dongle with the MD1 license.
  • Remove ECU from the vehicle.
  • Connect specified wires to ECU plug connector.
  • ID the ECU.
  • Read the ECU memories.
  • Email software to HDI Tuning.
  • Wait for us to prepare your remap and return it back to you.
  • Program the remap to the ECU using the same method taken to read the ECU.
  • Refit the ECU, check engine starts.
  • Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!
