From 2015 onwards the Peugeot 308 came fitted with the latest Euro 6 2.0 BlueHDI engine (DW10 FC) offering an impressive 180 BHP and 400Nm from the factory. This engine also comes with an advanced Selective Catalytic Reduction system (SCR) which uses Urea, commonly known as AdBlue to reduce NOx emissions, the SCR canister is also combined with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).
The control unit of the EU6 compliant 2.0 BlueHDI engine is the DCM6.2A which is produced by Delphi. It’s a very advanced system with multiple layers of ‘tuning protection’, so it’s important to use a tuner with the skills and knowledge to set up the system correctly. Correct tuning of the torque model within the ECU will keep your car driving like it’s a newer more powerful version whilst maintaining excellent fuel economy and reliability.
Our 2.0 BlueHDI 180 Stage 1 remapped software for the Delphi DCM6.2A system was developed in house using advanced tuning techniques and complex calculations to enable optimal power and performance whilst keeping within OEM programming standards and honouring all the anti-tune protection maps. To put it simply, this keeps the car driving perfectly like it would with factory developed calibrations for a more powerful engine and offers maximal reliability but most importantly, makes the car wonderful to drive.
The HDI Tuning Stage 1 remap will deliver 203 BHP and a nice torque increase to 440Nm. If you have an automatic gearbox that’s nothing to worry about, we’ve also tested and developed this remap with the automatic gearbox and we can confirm it’s safe to run and will not have any adverse effects on the auto box.
This ECU type will require specialist programming equipment which is available in all our workshops, and we now have the option for you to tune your ECU from home using the Dimsport MyGenius tool which can be ordered through our webshop.
