The Suzuki Vitara 2.0 uses the PSA HDI engine. That’s great news because you can increase the power through a simple remapping procedure, and what’s even better is you get to use HDI Tunings remapped software which was developed especially for the HDI engine. We’ve remapped many Vitara’s over the last decade and they always respond well to a stage 1 remap.
Things to check specifically on this model are for a stretched throttle cable, make sure you take out the slack so it can reach 100% at the TPS. The next thing that is worth replacing is the Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF) due to the age of these cars it’s likely to be worn as the sensor element oxidises over time. Of course you always need to do a full service with good quality filters before doing any tuning work.

Suzuki Vitara 2.0 HDI 110 Stage 2 Remap (155 BHP
| 360 Nm
)
The Stage 2 remap adds to the gains of the stage 1 remap and requires an exhaust system upgrade and also an intercooler upgrade to optimise the setup of the engine.
As boost will be increased, a higher reading MAP sensor must be fitted so that the ECU can regulate boost at a higher pressure, the 3.1 Bar MAP sensor uses part number 9649396580.
To help with EMP the exhaust needs to be a straight through system, 2.5 inch is best.
Most vehicles will require a new clutch or an upgraded Kevlar clutch to handle the extra torque. With 365Nm there will really be a big difference in power and torque and how it’s delivered.
Peak power for your Suzuki Vitara 2.0 HDI 109 will be increased to 155 BHP and the maximum torque will be increased to 360Nm.
